Papian,
Hachikian to Headline
ARF Day Celebrations

GLENDALE—Historian
Ara Papian and Armenian National Committee of America chairman Ken
Hachikian will be the featured keynote speakers at the ARF Day
Celebration scheduled to take place on Sunday, December 6 at the
Glendale High School Auditorium.
Papian, who is the
director of the “Modus Vivendi” Center in Armenia, has been at the
forefront of providing legal analyses documenting the inherent
dangers of the Armenia-Turkey protocols. In a recent open letter
to Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu, Papian outlined the
provisions of the Sevres Treaty and the subsequent Wilsonian
boundaries as basis for the illegality of the protocols.
As ANCA Chairman,
Hachikian has led the organization in the fight for the
recognition of the Armenian Genocide in Congress and has guided
the Armenian-American grassroots movement in the last decade.
Hachikian has been an outspoken opponent of the protocols.
Under the banner of
“United Armenia with All Armenians,” this year’s annual ARF
celebration will mark the party’s 119th anniversary and will
feature cultural performances and other presentations.
The event, which is
open to the public and free, will take place at 6 p.m. on Sunday,
December 6 at the Glendale High School Auditorium, 1440
East Broadway.
