
Nazo Apanian
Appointed Alex Pilibos Principal
LOS ANGELES—The Board of Regents of Prelacy
Armenian Schools announced the appointment of Nazo Apanian as
the new principal of Rose and Alex Pilibos Armenian School.
Apanian was employed at Rose and Alex Pilibos
Armenian School from 1995-2006. During his tenure he served as a
teacher, as Armenian Department Chair and as Executive Assistant
to the Principal.
Apanian has extensive
experience in the fields of instruction and curriculum
development, and has a well-rounded understanding of Armenian
educational and cultural requirements and needs. Apanian’s
educational background includes a Master of Arts degree from the
State University of Yerevan in History.
“The Board of Regents
highly values Mr. Apanian’s educational background and
experience, his educational and instructional philosophy and
administrative skills. We are confident that Mr. Apanian will be
able to further expand the educational growth of our students.
We believe, that with the cooperation and collaboration of the
faculty, the School Board, and local and school committees, Mr.
Apanian will succeed in continuing the advancement of the Rose
and Alex Pilibos Armenian School and with innovative programs
enrich the school’s educational mission” said Board of Regents
chairperson Mark Guedikian.
